The older Kerry Shale
Kerry Shale

Once upon a time...
On a summer day in 1946, a young gentleman playfully tugged on a young lady’s pigtail at Winnipeg Beach. That small gesture would lead both of them to the love of their lives. He was born in Canada in 1926, while she was born in Poland in 1928 and immigrated to Canada just three years later. They married on January 2, 1949.

They had three children—two sons and a daughter. One of their sons, the eldest, would go on to become a famous actor and voice artist: Kerry Shale, born in 1952. He moved to Vancouver to study acting and worked at Studio 58. In 1978, he received a job offer in London (UK) that he simply couldn’t refuse.

Leaving behind his home, family, girlfriend, and car, he moved to London. Kerry Shale described his father as a jokester who often made jokes at the expense of others but also laughed at himself. Seeking distance from his father, the move helped him discover his true self. He initially lived in Hampstead, London.
